The fourth volume of Cadernos Técnicos is dedicated to an area in which Santa Casa is a pioneer in the Lisbon area: community development. The theme, previously addressed in other publications by Misericórdia, is here taken up by renowned researchers and agents and promoters in the area of ​​community development and intervention from multiple angles, from the historical panorama, the development of practices and theories at the local and and the application of community dynamics in SCML projects.

More than presenting the work already carried out in this area in recent years, this volume leads us to question how we can contribute to the improvement of community dynamics in the future and, in this way, develop a society where well-being is a collective feeling.
