The Ki of the Nine Stars, or Ki Astrology, is a system based on the I Ching, the eight trigrams, the nine stars of Ursa Major, and the Lo Shu (magic square). Of Chinese origin, it was developed in feudal Japan, being associated with Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. It is a simple astrology to learn, but very effective in analyzing personality and relationships. There are 81 possible combinations. It is also based on a cyclical view of time, in cycles of nine years, nine months, and nine days.
