Bagua: reading life through space, by Teresa Borges de Sousa

As part of the "On the Route of China" program, this lecture proposes a reflection on Bagua, an expression of classical Chinese thought, whose relevance remains in the 21st century West. Developed thousands of years ago, this conceptual system offers a symbolic reading of the cycle of life, which can also be applied to inhabited space. Starting from its cultural and philosophical framework, the way this matrix remains current as a tool for reading and self-knowledge through the home will be explored. A meeting between tradition and contemporaneity, where space is understood as an element of connection and expression of life.
 
Biographical note 
Teresa Borges de Sousa has been interested from an early age in what is less visible, developing a path linked to self-knowledge and understanding of life. She studied Feng Shui at the National School of Feng Shui and the Macrobiotic Institute, where she later taught Feng Shui and Eastern astrology. At the same time, she built a professional career of over three decades in a business context. Her ongoing relationship with space and homes has recently led her to the real estate market, where she brings together different perspectives in the analysis of inhabited space.
