Last July 2010, the remodeling of the Oriental Art Nucleus of the São Roque Museum was presented to the public, namely the India window (fig. two). This restructuring was due to the inclusion of important pieces in the collection of the Museum of São Roque, from a generous donation that the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa received, as well as recent legacies and acquisitions promoted by the Institution, in order to enrich its collection. with pieces that are intrinsically related to the museological discourse. It is worth mentioning that this collection essentially comes from benevolence that the institution has received over more than 500 years of history.
