In the year it celebrates its 521st anniversary, the Misericórdia de Lisboa, through its Editorial Center, is proud to present the Technical Notebooks collection of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.
With them, we are committed to sharing the knowledge and experience of those, inside or outside this institution, who dedicate their vocation and expertise to the service of the "other".

This notebook aims to share how the Directorate of Childhood, Youth, and Family (DIIJF) reflects and intervenes in promoting autonomy, which is a central axis of all its actions.
In the first article, prepared by the CARE Team (Project for the qualification and reconfiguration of the SCML's foster homes), it presents how autonomy is promoted in the multiple areas of intervention of the DIIJF, as well as the evidence of its importance in the entire strategy to be implemented, broken down into transformative responses aimed at breaking transgenerational cycles of dependency.
