As part of the cycle of contemporary art exhibitions "Perceções do Sagrado", in 2010, the plastic artist Luís Nobre created his own works "in a creative way and daring", as described by the museum's director, Teresa Morna. Side by side with the sacred and the classic, Nobre develops contemporary works that dialogue with the pieces in the museum's permanent exhibition. Through languages ranging from bronze sculpture to video, without neglecting drawing and painting, we try to illustrate a link between contemporary ways of seeing art and the multi-century perception of beauty, building bridges between them rather than deepening the differences.
