In the context of the contemporary art exhibition cycle "Perceptions of the Sacred," in 2010, the visual artist Luís Nobre created his own works "in a creative and bold way," as described by the museum director, Teresa Morna. Side by side with the sacred and classical, Nobre develops contemporary works that engage in dialogue with the pieces of the museum's permanent exhibition. Through languages that range from bronze sculpture to video, without neglecting drawing and painting, an attempt is made to illustrate a connection between contemporary ways of seeing art and the multi-century perception of beauty, building bridges between them instead of deepening the differences.
