Ceramics of Seduction: Glazed Wares from South East Asia

Ceramics of seduction offers an opportunity to see and learn about the vast range of products, mainly glazed, produced in kilns located in five countries of present-day Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, and Laos. Each country has developed a fascinating ceramic tradition that reflects the creativity of its people and the skills of its anonymous potters. To appreciate their beauty, one must consider the main characteristics of these objects: simplicity of form, qualities of the clay and glazes, restrained decoration.
