Extraction Room - Social Games

The theme of Social Games, due to its breadth, allows for a very rich approach to the history of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, which received, in 1783, by royal decree from Queen D. Maria I, the concession of Lotteries. This game of a social nature constituted and continues to constitute a fundamental support for the care provided by the institution for the most vulnerable. The first and the current Lottery Extraction Room will be visited, and historical documents related to the game will be presented.
