Attentive to the problem of children, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa has had a permanent concern with unprotected children throughout its 5 centuries of existence, having its professionals a special dedication to the reception, treatment, education and recovery of children at risk.

In this context, the General Secretariat, through the Documentation Centre, is holding a bibliographic exhibition on the theme Children – Stories of Affections and Smiles, within the scope of the Commemorations of the 507th Anniversary of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, which will be open until September 30, 2004, in the Misericórdia space, Publicity area, in the S. Roque Complex.

The bibliographic work brings together 1150 titles of monographs and articles from periodicals, consisting of a list of records and indexes of authors and subjects.
