Created in 2015 by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, in a partnership agreement with the União das Misericórdias Portuguesas, the Queen D. Leonor Fund was born from the conviction that Good Causes should go beyond the borders of the capital, contributing to the social and territorial cohesion of the country.
Since then, and with support also extending, in 2017, to the historical heritage of the Misericórdias, 143 projects have already been approved: 115 in the social area and 28 in heritage, with an investment exceeding 23 million euros.
