A Path of Taoism - A Philosophy that Demands the Body, by Vasco Daniel Baião

In the West, Taoism tends to be reduced merely to a philosophy or religion, often understood as only theoretical and conceptual. However, to be truly understood, Taoism inevitably requires the study of methodologies that include body, mind, and regulation of emotions, state of mind, and consciousness.
In this lecture, beyond the origin and shamanic roots of Taoism, the word and the concept, we will explore the transmission of knowledge that only the body and direct cultivation can integrate, in an approach where movement and presence are the true vehicles of wisdom.

Biographical Note
With over 20 years of experience, Vasco is one of the rare masters of the Pure Yang Taoist lineage Wudang in Portugal. In 2009, he left engineering and headed to Wudang. At the Temple of the Five Immortals, he was a direct disciple of Grand Master Xing De 兴德 (Quanzhen school 全真, Longmen lineage 龍門), immersing himself in the study of Taiji, Qigong, Kungfu, and Chinese Medicine. Recognized for his excellence, he taught at renowned institutions (ESTC-IPL, Prime School, Macrobiotic Institute) and coordinates the Alqimia Institute. Certifying his international prestige, he returned to China to teach at the Temple, being mandated by the Wudang Administration to open an official center in Portugal, validating his unique authority in preserving these ancient arts.
