Collection of articles and studies in the field of Linguistics by Delmira Maçãs, benefactor of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. In this volume of the collection entitled Miscelânea, Delmira Maçãs shares with readers a set of essays in which she focuses on particular realities in the universe of language, speech and language. Among these, there are studies on the following topics: the formation of student slang, the relationship between body and character in Portuguese popular language, the suffix – inho next to adjectives in Portuguese family language, irony and depreciation in Portuguese language. (on the subject of the stylistic work of irony), or the essay on language and generations, among other texts.
