More than accessibility: value
More than accessibility: value
This book reflects the importance of the theme as valuing people with disabilities and their skills that go beyond disability.
The project was born from the active intervention of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa in this field, in its various biopsychosocial aspects, aiming at quality, well-being and recognition of the value of the disabled person and the need to value people with disabilities that stand out for their personal, social, emotional, physical characteristics.
These are notes about their life stories and what they have in common, which can serve as an example to other people with disabilities, focusing on values, resilience, determination, ways of overcoming and coping strategies used to overcome life's obstacles. We believe that the result was very positive and that's why we also share.
The book was coordinated by Cristina Vaz de Almeida, Director of the Support Products Management Service (SGPA) at SCML and Co-coordinated by Leonor Anachoreta Matoso (SGPA).
