An in-depth look at the architectural heritage of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, a unique real estate estate identified and illustrated in two volumes. This research and inventory work promotes knowledge about a set of properties of high historical and artistic value that express the evolution of Portuguese architecture between the 16th and 20th centuries. This second volume, divided into two volumes, is dedicated to income buildings (housing and offices), single-family residences, funerary architecture and assistance and health equipment of Misericórdia de Lisboa, and analyzes a set of 43 buildings built between the end of the 20th century. XVIII and XX centuries, mostly located in the city of Lisbon, some of which are classified, organized according to a typological and chronological order. In this volume II of volume II, the facilities of Misericórdia de Lisboa and its assistance and health equipment are analyzed, in a total of 14 properties, including the São Roque Complex, the Hospital Ortopédico de Sant'Ana and the Centro de Medicina Alcoitão Rehabilitation Center, the Dr. José Domingos Barreiro, the Obra Social do Pousal, five buildings built to house childhood equipment, and two remaining examples of the budget kitchens founded by the Duchess of Palmela. Finally, the publication presents inventory sheets with detailed information on each of these buildings, complemented with architectural drawings and photographs. An edition published with the support of the Portuguese Institute of Museums / Portuguese Museum Network.
