Quinta Alegre - Volume 2

This collection that the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa publishes about its heritage of historical and artistic interest continues with this second volume dedicated to Quinta Alegre, in Camarate, built during the court period. An interesting example of the old recreational farms on the outskirts of Lisbon, it constitutes a set of undeniable heritage value, greatly enriched with the remarkable set of mural paintings later executed.

The objective behind this collection is to enhance the heritage dimension through the permanent dialogue between the authors of the historical study and the architect responsible for the rehabilitation project, in a crossroads of complementary perspectives and experiences that enrich both the reading of the past , or the hypotheses of more adequate solutions for future operation.
