Theoretical and Methodological Reference of Community Development

This reference aims to consolidate and gain institutional recognition for a set of principles and methodologies that guide Community Development at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.

Community Development, as a methodology for social intervention, is established as a process of continuous construction and learning, which is why the Reference is an open and flexible document.

In a context of increasing appreciation for decentralization processes, local intervention and territorial bases, local partnerships, and the dynamics of population participation in processes to combat social exclusion, this reference aims to be a relevant and guiding contribution to the Community Development processes of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.
